Missile Attack from Yemen Intercepted; Sirens Blare in Israel’s South

Early Sunday morning, sirens sounded in the Arava and Dead Sea regions following the detection of a missile launch from Yemen toward Israeli territory. Israel’s defense systems successfully intercepted the threat before it crossed the country’s border. The IDF Spokesperson stated that the alerts were triggered according to operational protocols and preparedness plans. Magen David Adom (MDA) reported that no calls were received on its emergency line regarding casualties or unusual incidents in the area.

Sirens were activated in the following communities: Hatzeva, Ir Ovot, Ein Tamar, Ein Hatzeva, Idan, Neot HaKikar, El-Amarani, El-Mask, and Rotem Industrial Zone.

Sirens Sounded Overnight in Be’er Sheva and Nearby Communities

On Friday night and Saturday, sirens were triggered in Be’er Sheva and surrounding areas following another missile launch from Yemen. Two minutes before the sirens, the Home Front Command issued a precautionary alert to residents in central Israel, Jerusalem, the Shfela region, and Samaria, instructing them to take shelter.

MDA reported that no injuries were recorded. Later, the IDF announced that the Air Force successfully intercepted an additional UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) outside of Israeli airspace without activating further alerts.

U.S. Increases Pressure on the Houthis

In recent days, reports indicated that the United States conducted 23 airstrikes against Houthi targets in four provinces: Marib, Amran, Sanaa, and Hudaydah.

According to Arab media, the strikes targeted military installations, communication infrastructures, weapons depots, and other strategic sites.

Meanwhile, the American aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman is expected to leave the Red Sea after an extended operational deployment in the region.
